TEACHERS' TRAINING COLLEGE.
MR, ,T. S. TENNANT, M.A., B.Sc, APPOINTED PKLNX'II'AL. Mr. J. S. Tennant, M.A., B.Sc, 'of the Wellington Education Board's inspectorate, has been appointed principal of the Teachers' Training College at Wellington, in succession to Mr. William Gray, recently appointed to the Presbyterian Ladies' College at Melbourne. Mr. 'iVnnnnt's appointment is regarded in local education circles as an excellent (.'lie. He has had 18 years' experience in primary school work, was rector of the Ashburton High School for six years, and for a similar period inspector of schools under the Wellington Education Board. He was also a member of the scientific expedition which explored the Sub-Ant-arctic islands some time njjo, and brought back a quantity of valuable data with regard to the flora and fauiia of that region.
