BANK COLLECTOR SHOT AND ROBBED. His oompanion was paralysed by tho sudden attack. Their aggressor then rapidly snatched tho bag containing the socunbos and attempted >ilso to snatch tho bag with tho oasli, but the wounded man clung desporafce.lv to tho latter. Tho robber jumped into a. motor-car standing by, and a man insido held up a revolver threatening to shoot anyone who approached tho motor-car. They then drove away rapidly, turning in ami out of the small Bide streets. A hue and cry was started after tho pair, and they fired a few shots bofore the cab reached the Hue Vauvenargues. The wounded bank collector, who had saved his ,£BOO in cash, was token to the hospital. The surgeon found his condition so grave that ho refused to permit him to Ik* examined by tho police. His aggressor was a young man of twenty-tivo, and only a vague description can be given of his two confederates, the driver of I'll# motor-car and (ho man inside.
