The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Paimerston North, report:—At Himitangi. on Monday, wb had a good entry of sheep and cattle, a good sale resulted, and very few lines were turned out unsold. At Paimerston North, on Thursday, wo had a small entry of sheep and a good yarding of cattle; prices were somewhat easier, and several pens of cattle were .turned out unsold. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency report:—At our Levin sale yesterday we offered a fairly largo yarding of both sheep and cattle. Owing to harvestins operations beinc in full swing, tho attendance was not as largo as usual, but those present were out after business, and under keen competition our 1 yarding was cleared .at prices above late Quotations. Store lambs show a noticeable improvement. in price, and any well-grown lots coming forward met a. ready sale. Young cattle are offering freely, atid owing to the abundance of facd buyers are numerous for this cla=3 of stock. We quote as follows:—Cull lambs, up to 75.; weedy sorts, to 3s. lid.; 18-month heifers, to £3 35.; dairy heifers, to £3 lis.; yearling steers, to £2 3s. (id.; empty store cows, from £4 10s. to £5 65.; bulls, to £3 12s. 6d.

Mr. Nevfton King reports for tho week as follows':—Kapbliga:'At iriy yards'last Friday I had a riood entry, with the majority in the weaners' pens. These, in roost eases, did not reach the vendor's reserves. Prices realised were:—Mixed weaners, £1 2s. 6d. to £1 7s. 6d.; bulls, £1 10s. to £3; store cows, £1 2s. 6(1. to £3; good store and forward cows, £3 10s. to £4 55.; fat cows, £5; yaarling steers, £1 19s. fid. Eahotu: On Tuesday I had a good entry and a good attendance. Bidding throughout was good for all except wcaners, which opened with very slack competition, but improved during the sale.
