MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
There was a large attendance at the Missions to Soamen Institute, last evening, when Mrs. Craig and Miss E. Dixon provided an enjoyable concert. Mr. V. S. Shell, the Missioner, occupied the chair. The following contributed vocal nnd elocutionary items to the programme:— Misses C. Titzmaurice, Brown, MoncriclT, and Samson, and Messrs. V. Picqt, Wyett, and Erlene. ;V singing competition was won by Mr. Humphries (Karla), and an amusing conundrum competition was won by sailors from ships in port. The performers were given a hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion of the concert.
The rule of the road, it seems, is not to be changed in France, according to recent dispatches. The proposition was finally defeated, and vehicles will continue to keep to the right, as in America, and not, as in England, to the left.
