It is anticipated that the new bridge now being built across Abbott's Creek on the Rimubika Road will be finished in about three wteks from date. The piles ;\re of solid concrete encssed in zinc nnd the floor of the brid.se in the centre span will be about 13 feet above the present water-level. It is intended that tlw bridge will' be wholly decked, so that it will'ba suitable for all binds of vehicle 'Thursday has again been appointed as the day for the weekly half-holiday for shops, etc., in Featherston.
