Auckland, January 31. For the four weeks ended January 20 the Komata P.eefs Gold Mining Co. crushed and treated 250 tons of ore for bullion worth £bC6, the crushing representing two weeks riiQ. Collcy, secretary of the Dominion Consolidated Developing Co., Ltd., reports.—"The directors of the Dominion Consolidated Developing Co., Ltd., met Mr. Rhodes yesterday on his return from Blenheim, where he had been to iuspeet and report upon the company's mining claims'. Mr. Bhodes, who is the inauagor of the New Zealand Mines Trust, Ltd., was very favourably impressed with the prospect of the company, and advised the installation of a twenty-head stamp mill and savins plant. The Dominion Company mine is rich in Echeclite, and sufficient ore containing the mineral has already been developed to pay the cost of the erection of a battery and show a handsome surplus. Development now coins on upon the reefs indicates a large body oC ore containing cold and Fcheelite. nnd special machinery-'for treatins the latter mineral ■ will be designed by the Mines Trust, Ltd., which has become engineer* to (he company, aud will superintend the. installation and working."
