ENTERTAINED IN LONDON. CAUSE OF HIS DISMISSAL, Bγ Telecragh-Prcia Amctatlea-OoDjtrtebl London, January 30. The Persia Committee entertained Mr. Morgan Sinister at a banquet. Mr. Sinister attributed his dismissal to Russian hostility, which from tho first thwarted bis efforts to reconstruct 'Persian finance. Either the Russian or British Governments intended to destroy any hope of Persia's regeneration, or those Governments were being continuously grossly misinformed. NEWSPAPKR OPINIONS. London, January 30. The "Westminster Gazette" reminds Mr. Sinister that the Mejliss tctls not entitled to transfer tho country's finance to a foreign controller without reference to the other Governments interested. Mr. Sinister unwittingly placed Sir Edward Grey in a position of great embarrassment towards Persia on the (mo hand and towards Russia on tho other. ' The "Gazette" concludes by trusting that the Anglo-Russian entente would safeguard Persia's independence.
