TIMBER MERCHANT'S DEATH.
(By Tdeeraph—Prcse Association.) ■ Auckland, January 31. Mr. Robert Blair, of Melbourne,'died here to-day. Mr. Blair was for many years Auckland manager of Iho Kauri Timber Company.' Al'lerwaj'ds he went into business on bis own account as a timber mcrchaut in Melbourne. In post years he was a prominent cricketer and up to the last took a strong interest in all matters pertaining to sport, lie leaves a widow and three sons.
