CLYDESDALES FOR NEW SOUTH WALES. Steps have been ta*Ken by tho NewSouth Wales Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Trelle) to import three high-class active Clydesdale stallions for use on the State experimental farms. A sum of J!2000 has been made available for tho purpose, !>nd the Agent-General, who is to undertake the purchase, hns been requested to consult first with Messrs. Dunlop ami Henderson, two members of the Scottish Agricultural Commission, who while in New South Wales paid special attention to the class of brood mares used on the Government farms. When asked if the new importations would be available for privato owners, Mr. Trelle said th.it would depend upon the requirements of the Department, but he intended, if possible, to make them available to at least a limited number of mares in each district where (hey would be stationed.
