CARTERTON ITEMS.
The Wairarapa Egp Circle now has a membership of 1011 The annual meeting is to be held at Mnetcrtou about the middle of next mouth', when recommendations will be madethnt tho circle be registered under the Incorporated Societies Act, and that the date of theannual meeting be later in the year than February. The annual report, which will shortly be and circulated among members, .states that .the circle has had n, very successful year. The South Wainirapa Poultrj, Pigeon, and Cage Bird Association has been communicated with by. the Hastings Sooiety suggesting that the two institutions should combine in.procuring a judge from Australia for ilieir forthcoming shows. It was pointed out that, if the show dates could be arranged in close proximity to each* other, one judge could adjudicate at both , at a total cost of £25. The value of building permits issued by the Carterton Borough Council during 1911 was ,£2925, .as against £3160 for the preceding.,year.'
