BROKERS' PRIVATE CABLES. Messrs. Murray. Roberts/ - and Co., Ltd., have received thfc following cablegram from their London friends, Messrs. Sanderson, Murray, and Co., dated January 27:"The market.is firm for best descriptions of merino, but weaker and irregular for inf°Tior merino wools. . Th© m&rkct'is firm for" crossbred wools suitable for America. Compared with last sales' closing rates, there is no change in crossbrcds excepting thos" suiting American requirements. Crossbred scoured declined 5 per cent.' Messrs. Levin and - Co., Ltd., nave received cabled advice from their agents in Loudon that thu following clips have been sold on their account- at the sales now current, the prices named being the average orice realised for the fleece wool in each instance:— Hocky Hill (Mastcrton), 9?d ■ Jlarahau (Wancauui), Bid.; B diamond 11 (Feathirston), 11 9-!6d.
