Dr. Sun Tat Sen, tho ■ Revolutionary leader, has issued a remarkable Note to the Powers, stigmatising Yuan Shih Kai as the champion of tho llanchus. Wutang-fang lias telegraphed, on behalf of tho Revolutionaries, demanding the abdication of tho Emperor, and threatening that otherwise hostilities will result to-day. Lu-Juan-Heng is preparing to lead tie Wuchang revolutionaries northwards. Yuan Shih Kai is endeavouring to secure the extension- of the armistico. Seven thousand of Yuan Shih Kai's troops havo reached Peking, thereby removing the Mancliu menace. Tieh-Liang has lied to Tientsin. It is understood that a memorial presented by the Generals'impresses upon tho Throne the inadvisability of contemplating immediate abdication. Advanced posts numbering thousands of men on each side were engaged in a conflict on Saturday on the TientsinPukow railway. The Revolutionaries retreated, abandoning their camp. RECOVERY OF BODIES. Peking, January 28. A hundred and fifty bodies havo been recovered from the ruins of the powder magazine bloira up by the revolutionaries at old Suidun, when General Chintai perished. The search continues^ REPUBLIC DEMANDED. Peking, January 28. The Imperialist Generals have memorialised tho Throne demanding a Republic.
