ihe dairying industry is becoming a eery important o:ie in the Masterton district, and judging by the advance that has been mnde during the last two seasons, says the "Daily Times." there is a big future before the district in this connection. During the pre.-ent reason more farmers have given attention to dairy farming than ever before in the district, iind herds aro bein? established on proper lines. Tho farmer understands now that three things are essential if dairying is to be made- a success— tho best class of animal only must be included in tiie herd: cows must be tested; and up-to-date methods must obtain in the dairy. To the credit of local farmers it must bo said that they are carrying on this great business on 'systematic and proper Hues, and the wisincss of their methods is shown in the improved milk, increased supply, and better grades of butter that are ■ being recorded.
