NEED FOR INSPECTORS.
. ' (To tho Editor.) ' Sir,—l, sinpersly bopc thero will be no tram strike. I livo in the country, and liiipw tho good of-the , trams; Certainly there should be proper inspection. Guards are not'always to blame for not collecting fares. I have seen -respectable citizens mitor and pay one section and ride two «ml .three sections.. Indeed, if-a man is going a distancbit seems the rule to pay <mo section and ride until another is dpnfanded, very often, reaching the limit for a- penny, where honest passengers pay full juice.'.'l. have seen'ladies do the same thing.. I believe many pounds are lost to the tram.returns, every week, -inspectors notwithstanding. ' " 'Tis true, "tis pity; and-pity 'tis 'tis true." Travelling daily, '1 could.a tale unfold."—l ani, etc' ';• .„•„' ..".:■::■ ■■■' ■"■ TWIG! .Kangiatea," January 20, 1912. .
