CARTERTON NOTES.
Mr. C. Lw, who recently resigned tho secretaryship of the Carterton Volunteer Fire Brigade owins to his departure for Manaia, was on Wednesday Qvening tho recipient of a handsome writing-case and fountain-pen from the members of the brigade, with which he has been associated for the past four years. Mr. T. Walden, son of Mrs. C. Brislow, of Carterton, leaves on Friday for Sydney.
