A RICH EGYPTIAN.
ATTACKED BY BANDITS. Bj Telezrapli—Press Association—Goßjriehl Cairo, January 24. Several armed bandits raided a rich native contractor's house near Cairo. They assaulted the occupiers and stole much money and jewellery. The bandits fired on the mounted police, who replied till their ammunition was exhausted. The brigands then escaped, but the police pursued tliem and captured three. The contractor is dead, and six of the inmates are in a precarious condition.
