JIOVK.MBNT roii BETTER FACILIxn:s. A conference of representatives of North island freezing companies was held yesterday morning, when a report was Riven by Dr. W. V. Robinson, the company's representative at Homo, on the conditions uimlpv which New Zealand meat is handled and distributed at the London docks.' The steps taken to improve the conditions were also outlined by Dr. Robinson. The chair was occupied by Jlr. W. G. Foster, the proceedings being private. When approached last evening and o-sked if he could make a statement for publication, .Air. Foster intimated that he could not say anything about tho meeting just then. PRODUCERS' ASSOCIATION MOVEMENT. MR. SHELTOX HETURXS. Mr. F. J. Shelton, who has been representing the Xew Zealand Producers' Association in London, and moving in the direction of securing improved facilities at the docks for the handling of New Zealand frozen meat, arrived from London yesterday by the .Tainui. A meeting of the association had teen called to inept ilr. Shelton, and receive his report, and this business was entered u]ion last evening, Mr. J. G. AVilson presided over the gatherine, which was not open to the press. When seen at a late hour last night, Mr. "Wilson stated that a verbal report of considerable length had been given by Air. Shelton, and this was still being discussed, but there was nothing for publication at present.
