SYDNEY SHEEP SHOW.
PEIZE SCHEDULE ISSUED. The prize schedule for this year's sheep show has been issued by the New South Wales Sheepbreedprs' Association. The committee has made a. further increase in the total prize money of .£32 Bs., the amount now being -Is. This is the largest amount offered for any sheep show in the world, and the enterprise of the committee deserves to be rewarded to tho fullest extent by breeders, in whoso interests (he exhibitions are organised each year.
Tho principal additions to the schedule arc champion prizes for the smoothbodied ram and smooth-bodied ewe, and special classes in both the open and farmers' sections for unhoused sheep to be exhibited by breeders who have never won a prize at the shows of the association. This is, of course,- intended to offer encouragement to beginners who feel that the competition in the unrestricted classes is somewhat severe for a new man. Provision is also made for non-competitive exhibits in tho hope that breeders.who desire to sell certain superior sheep will take, advantage of these classes to bring their best before probable buyers. The sheep dog trials are again well provided for, and this feature of ■ the show promisos to be as attractive as ever. Some, alterations have heen made in the plan of tho trial course at the request of competitors.
