THE TURNIP FLY.
DAMAGE AT EKETAHUXA. An Eketahuna settler recently planted a goodly acreage in turnips. The seed took all right, but, according to the "Express," the young plants entirely disappeared shortly after coming through thp ground. The settler attributed the failure, to bad seed, and. replanted tho land, hut exactly thp same thing happened. It is now nssunird that the turnip fly was responsible for the depredations.
