UNPRECEDENTED EXTRAVAGANCE. By TelerraDh-Presß Association—Conyriirhl Sydney, January 24. Mr. C. G. Wade, Leader of tho Opposition, addressing the Liberal Conference, said ho had no fear for a General Election. The Literals' prospects were now brighter than they were a year ago. lie condemned tho Government's taxation proposals. Tho country, he declared, had embarked on an era of unprecedented extravagance. So long as tho present Government was in power it would be a danger and a menace to the prosperity of the State.
