Wedding at St. Peter's. A quiet wedding took ploco at St. Peters Church, Willis Strait, on January W, when Miss JSvolyn llolicrly, third Uuughter of the late Mr. J. Jtcberly (.Maori carver), was married to Mr. 11. L. Curdc, of Wellington. Tho bride, who was given away by her brother—Mr. H. J. llclxirly, of Auckland—was attended by tho Misses Muriel iieborly and 1). Jlarbroe as bridesmaids. Archdeacon Harper performed the ceremony, and Mr. \V. Jackson acted as best num. During the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. It. Cardo kilt lor ltotorua and Auckland. Wedding at Newtown. On January 17, at the Congregational Church, Newtown, by tho Rev. W. A. AJvniis, Miss Muriel Elton, eldest daughter of Air. and lire. 14. J. Klton, of Marion Street, was married to Jlr. Vernon Sutherland, of tins linn of .Sutherland and ltankine, Wellington. Tho bride, who wore a charming gown of soft while silk, with tho usual veil and orange blossoms, was atlondod by four bridesmaids—Miss Stella Morris, in white linen trimmed with point lace, and tho Misses Masio Millwanl and Joy Burns, cousins of the bride, and Hiss Lcxio Jilton, sister of the bride, all attired in white broiderie Auglaise, with girdles of palo blue. Tho Messrs. James Jill ton and W. Jlcattie officiated as best man and groomsman. Mrs. W. A. .Evans presided at tho organ, and two little maids—the Misses iNancy Hedstone and Hilda Sauuders—strewed confetti over the bride and bridegroom wheu they emerged from tho church. After the ceremony a reception was held at tlodber's Hall, Courtonay Place. The bridegroom's gilt to the bride was a piano, and, to the two chief bridesmaid?, silver jewel cases. A pearl crescent brooch, and blue enamel bracelets were presented to the other maids. .During the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Sutherland left for Wanganui. Greymbuth Wedding. \A very pretty wedding was celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Greymoutk, on January . 17,. w;hen. Mr. AY. Armstrong, son of Mr. A...L..Armstrong, Grcymoulli, was married to Miss Fanny • Steer, second daughterof Mr. and Mrs. .J; Steer, of Cobden. "The bride,-who was given away by her father,'was attired in ivory while Oriental satin, veiled with old Limerick lace, and embroidered in seed pearls. Her long veil was arranged over a coronet of orange blossoms. The Misses Alice Steer, Ivy Boyle (Dunedin), and Ina Armstrong, sister of the bridegroom, wore bridesmaids' gowns of apricot crew de chine, embroidered in silk, and gold thread, and their black tagel hats wcro finished with white lancer plumes. Littlo Miss Hilma Williams and Mary Steer, who wero also bridesmaids, were frocked in white Swiss muslin and Valenciennes lace, with large hats of laco and net, wreathed with moss-rose buds. Archdeacon York was tho officiating minister, and Messrs Sydney Freeman (Westport), L. Armstrong, and J. E. Steer attended as best man and groomsmen. The bride's travellingcostume was of champagne-coloured Ottoman silk, and a black hat, trimmed with butterfly bows of silk not, and rosebuds. Dunedin Wedding. ■ At the Trinilv Methodist Church, on December 17, the wedding of Miss Violet Marv Allnntt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. 'Alinutt, of Roslyn, to Mr. W. G. Daltoii", onlv son of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton, Dulwich Hill, Sydney, was celebrated. The bride was attired in white crepe de chine, trimmed with silk lace, and her veil of Brussels net was hand-embroidered and worn over a coronet of iiearls and orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf bouquet, and wore the gift of the brigegroom, a pearl spray brooch. Her two sisters, the Misses Gladys and Olive Alinutt, were frocked in pale "mauve silk striped ninon, with hats of heliotrope satin straw, wTeathed with lilac. They carried bouquets of pale pink sweet peas, and wore pearl, amethyst, and tourmaline pendants, the gifts of tho bridegroom. The Eev. T. Newbold performed the ceremony, and Messrs. \V. Alinutt and G. Littlejohn acted as best man and groomsman. After the wedding a large reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, the breakfast being served in a marquee erected on the lawn. Later, Mr. and Mrs. W. Dalton left by motor, en route for tho Cold Lakes, the. brido travelling in a dress of Quaker grey charmeuse cloth, and a groy hat to match. Wedding at Havelock. At St. Mary's Church, Havelock, on January IG, Miss Lily Harvey, daughter of Mr. \\. Harvey, of Pelorns Sound, was married to Mr. V. L. Ward, son of the lato Mr. Felix Ward, of Forsyth Island, the Kev. Father O'Sullivan officiating. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, wore a trained gown of ivorv satin charmeuse, trimmed with tucked chiffon and lace. Her veil of embroidered net was arranged over a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of white.flowers. Her train-bearers, the Misses Aline Hocquard and Madeline M'Manaway, wore attired in palo pink mnpn.over satin, with pink hats, trimmed with laco rosettes, and their bouquets were of pink carnations. The Misses J. and T. Harvey, sisters of the bride, wore bridesm.al<k'.frocks of seagull srev satin, veiled with union, and their pale blue hats were wreathed with forget-me-nots. Thev also carried pink bouquets. Messrs..A.'Ward and L. Harvey attended as host man and groomsman. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridesmaids were gold brooches, and to tho bride a sapphire and rubv bangle. Mr. and Mrs. p. Ward left later for the North Island, the bride wearing a pearl grey costume, and black hat, trimmed with lace wings. and blue rosettes
