The appointment by the Federal Council oi' the Churches of Christ in Antcricn of a conimis>ion oil peace and arbitration will probably be tho third link in an international chain of church brotherhood in tlio interest of international pcace and arbitration. There is already a joint, committee representing (he churches of England and tlio churches of Germanv. During the past summer, the Social Service Secretary of the Federal Council, Dr. C. ,S. .M.'ncl'arland, conferred with members of the English . committee in Berlin, receiving general expressions of a desire that the. alliance should also embrace Ihe Cnifetl States. This will probably bo brought about through the Federal Council Commission, and will mean, perhaps, the beginning of a worldwide alliance among llio Christian churches.
