LARGE GRANT SOUGHT IN FRANCE. By TeleeraDh—Press Association—Car>yrteM Paris, January 19. Tho Premier, M. Poincare, has asked tho Senate for a grant of .£BBO,OOO for the purchase of military aeroplanes. FATALITY NEAR PARIS. Paris, January 19. Lieutenant Boomer, whilst aeroplaning at Senlis, near Paris, fell a thousand feot. His case is hopeless. (Rec. January 21, 5.5. p.m.) Paris, January 20. Lieutenant Boerner's aeroplane swerved and tho petrol took fire in mid-air. The airman was strapped to the seat, but when ho fell two farm lads dashed into tho flames, cut tho 6trap, and dragged him into safety. His leffs were terribly burned.
