1 CARGO SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. Bt Teleeraph—Press Association—CopyrUhl ' Melbourne, January 20. The fire which broke out on the White Star liner Suevic, while en route from |. Sydney to Melbourne, started in fivo hundred tons of copra and tallow in the „ lower hold on Thursday night. After several hours' fighting the outbreak was i supposed to have been checked, but it broke out again. On arrival, at the wharf a tug equipped with fire-fighting apparatus tackled the fire, and continued pouring water into the hold. Last night the fire was reported to be under control.
