Thn annual summer sports meeting of tho Wellington Civil Service Amateur Sports Club will ho hold on tho Basin Kesorvo on Saturday next, January 27. Numerous entries ore being received, and prominent local and Wairarapa athletes will compote. (By Telccrajjh—Press Association.) Auckland, Januaiy 19. It is understood hero that G. N. Hill has been definitely 6elecbcd by the Wellington Committee as a member o£ tlio Olympic Games team. Although tho fact has not been officially announced, a strong oommittoo is being formed in Auckland to assist to rafso the necessary funds. Private information received states that tho committee are of opinion that, in view of the trip, Hill would bo well advised if he took a rest from training which, of courso, would mean his missing the Now Zealand championship.
