MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

Aii impromptu concert waa held at the Missions to 'Seamen Institute last evening, large number of sailors being present. A mouth-organ band, from the s.s. Otaki. undor Bandmaster P. Martin, jun., played eeroral selections. Tlie drums belonging to the band, were manufactured on board the Otaki. Songs were contributed by Messrs. P. Martin, jun., J. Knowles, and R. Stevens. Mr. Carter gave a pianoforte polo and also played the accompaniment?}. The member.? of the band, who are all firemen on tho Otaki, are as follow:— Messrs. P. Martin, jun. (bandmaster), R. Stevens, J. Knowles, M'Gonacle (2), ,T. Loft,, j. Sullivan, T. Parkes. and J. M'Carthy. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the men.
