Brown, an emigration agent, arrested at Nelson, in Lancashire, on a chargo of obtaining money under falsi pretences in connection with forced testimonials to a farm labourer emigrating to West Australia, has been remanded.- it has been arranged that tho Nelson magistrates shall hear the caso on January 30. Thoro aro thirty witnesses to be called.
