The result of the ballot taken recently by tho doctors on tho regfster of the Canterbury District Court of Convocation for the position on the University Senate rendered vacant by tho death of Mr. James Hay, is as follows:—Jamea Ilight, 151 j Oscar Thorwald Johann Alpcrs, 132; informal, 3. Dr. Hight, Professor of Economics and History at Canterbury Collcgo, is therefore elected.
