A resolution was carried expressing alarm at the growth of gambling, and it • was decided to urge the Minister for i Defence not to authorise military train- ; ing on Sundays, to give ample opportunity for the holding of religious services in camps, and to appoint Primitive 1 Methodist chaplains. II was agreed to co-operate with other Protestant. Churches in the Ixird's Day ; Alliance Conference, which will, it is re--1 gardod, be one of tho most important held in New Zealand.
