; . NERVOUS BREAKDOWN :.. : :' ■'. CANNOT - BE CURED ; BY TONICS, DRUGS, OK MEDICINES. I Nothing so remarkable as the unanimity with which eminent doctors and ; scientists Irom all parts of the world declare that medicines and tonics are absolutely useless—in fact, harmful—in the treatment of Nervous Disorders; and ' . that permanent relief can alone be found > n specially selected nerve nutrition has ever been known in. the history of the Art of Healing. Medical men have long realised that the man or woman with n weakened nervous system can only recoup lost-energy, by supplying the nerves with the. special food essential to their v;cllbeing, viz., Lecithin. ' ...'...,.. Lecithin forms (ho principal substance of the Brain Cells, Spinal Marrow, ar.il NerM Tissues, and is contained in the blood milk, eggs, as well as in vegetable and animal organisms. But Lecithin constitutes on? of tho most sensitive organic elements, easily neutralised by bacteriological and chemical action, and ! although its value, as the natural nerve.-an'' brain food has boon known for a generation- past, tho means, of administering it in a'purc and nssimilahlo form ■ have, not ■ been attained, until after years of research work Dr. Hartmann, of Rerlin, was enabled to produce a preparation containing a. perfectly pure, isolated | and actively organic Lecithin in a highly.assirnilablo form. Tho ' announcement ' of the, discovery under the name of j • ANTINEURASTHIN, . claiming, as it did. to have overcome what had up to the moment been -non-. . • sidcrcd an-insurmountable obstacle in the treatment of nervous disease and irregularities created considerable interest-amongst mcdieaLmen-and.scientists on the Continent. ■■-.■:■ In order to nlacc'llib certainty of Ibe discovery beyond all doubt, Dr. Hartmann agreed to most drastic tests being carried out by independent; authorities, , and as being one of the greatest authorities on nerve and brain diseases, I PH. LION, ' DIRECTOR OK THE IMPERIAL STATE HOSPITAL TOR EPILEPTICS AT ' ST. PETERSBURG, was chosen to carry out the investigation. Dr. Lion selected from the State Hospital several cases which were'looked upon as s ■■ - HOPELESS OP. CURE, ; | ■ and in the short spare of two weeks showed the astonishing results embodied in the report given below. ; CASE I,' > ' Student, 1!) years .of. age. representing a typical ease of Neurasthenia; general emaciation, weakness, inertia, .as a rule depressed- mental condition, extreme ir- ] ritability, violence, changeable, and abrupt, humour, inability to work persistently, ; rapid fatigue, weakness of memory, loss of appetite, tendency to constipation, insomnia. After having taken Dr. Hartmann's "Autiueurasthrn" for a. fortnight the results were as follow: Firstly, an .increased nppot.iln and sleep wore, observed, in ■ addition constipation had disappeared and so had his tendency to lire rapidly of his work, thus producing an increase in his working capacity.
