Members of the Miramar Golf Club met at the Grand Hotel on Tuesday evonW, to bid good-bye to their captain, Mr .1. P. Firth, prior to his departure for England. The toast of the president was alilv proposed by Mr. J. W. A. Morchniit, who referred to the great assistance that sport had received from Mr. Firth, and wished him and Mrs. Firth a very enjoyable holiday and a safe return to New Zealand.
