A head-on collision has occurred at Longrun, in Kentucky, where a passenger train was derailed by coming in contact with a train of empty cars. Four trainmen were killed, and all the passengers slightly injured. Eileen Martin, aged seven, signalled with a flag to the east-bound overland express at Sacramento in time to prevent it striking the broken rail, and thus saved it from certain wreck. Tho company promises the child a handsome reward for her bravery.
