The sccond wool gale of this -season's aeries was held, when the local brokers offered 21,150. bale:? to a large number of buyers from various parts of the Dominion, (■rent Britain, and the Continent. The competition for lots suitable for America was keen, and at times the prices realised were beyond expectations. There was a brisk demand for lambs' wool by Continental buyers, especially those repiosenling a French liou-o. Tlie range of prices was:—Half bred, 9d. to IOJd.: crossbred, tine, 9d. to 12id.: crossbred, medium, Sid. to 9.U1.; crossbred, coarse, 7ld. to 8.U1.: lambs, 6[d. to 10ad.; first pieces, 63d. to 8?d.; second pieces, s*d, In 6£d.; bellies, s£d. to 7}d.; crutchings, <3d. -to 6d.; locks, 33d, to »Ud.
