The Persia Committee organised a demonstration attended by three thousand people in London against encroachment on the integrity of Persia. Sir Thomas Barclay presided. Doctbr Clifford and a number of members of the House of Commons wero present. Mr. Mac Donald stated that the folly and shortsightedness of the British Foreign Office had caused tho whole trouble. RUSSIANS BURIED ALIVE. St. Petersburg, January 15. •Forty Russians were killed at Tabriz, Persia, during the recent lighting. Only seventeen bodies have been recovered. Many Russians were buried alive after horrible tortures had been inflicted on them.
