CAIRN UNVEILED.

DUTY OF ABORS FOR ALL TIME. By Tcleeraph—Press' Association—Copyright Calcutta, January 15. A cairn has been unveiled at the spot where Mr, Noel Williamson died, on March 31 last. Sixty Gurkhas fired a salute, and sounded the "Last Post." Colonel Murray addressed the Abors, and informed them that the upkeep of the cairn would be their duty for all time. Mr. Williamson was murdered by Abors at,Kebang, in Assam. He was warned that he would be killed if ho attempted the trip. "When Mr. Williamson started on his trip the Abor tribes held a council and arranged the massacre. A British expedition under Colonel Murray was sent to avenge the death of Mr. Williamson, who was a British political agent.
