Storms are raging in the country districts and telegraphic communication is badly interrupted. l The Union Company's steamer Taviuni, which arrived to-day from Samoa, encountered terrific weather. Her boats were carried away and the railings and deck fittings smashed and washed overboard. It was tho worst hurricane experienced in tho Islands for years.
