. * . SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Prer.int indications are for a falling barometer aud increasing northerly and westerly winds, strong to gale, southwards of New Plymouth and CaEtlopoint. Warm and hazy weather will probably prevail, but cloudiness increase iu and southwards of Cook Strait for a low pressure due shortly, which is likely to bring unsettled weather in these parts, especially in the West Coast and southernmost districts of tho South Island. Unsettled and showery weather prevailed in many parts on Saturday and Sunday, witi strong squally westerly and northerly winds, which changed to southerly on Sunday, with a rising barometer. The weather has since improved generally, and tho winds have backed to westerly and northerly again in many parts, strong to gale in tho southern districts to-day, where tho bnromcter has fnllon nsrrun. , B.
