MAN WHO SAVED 113 LIVES, * The Hackney coronor investigated on December 2 t]ie death of "William Dunn Saycr, 51, a furniture dealer, of 50 Andrews lioad, Hackney. His widow said he was an expert swimmer and had saved 113 lives from the "Regent's Canal. The coroner: That is a big record. Has he any medals or rewards? The witness: He had six Royal Humane Society medals, a gold medal for courage and humanity from the public, the St. ; John Ambulance medal, and tho Queen Victoria medal.
