FEILDINQ NOTES.
Mr. C. G. C. Dormer gave \oico to the opinion, at tho Jasfc general committee meeting of the Feilding A. and V. Association, that it was timo that they gavo championship certificates in the en trig classes. He moved: That championships he awarded in all pure bred cattlo classes lor males and females over twelve months old." The motion was carried without opposition. • A water-diviner intimated by letter to the Feilding.A. and I'. Association that ho understood that a prize was being offered for tho best-kept farm, lie offered (as a prize in this competition) to find water on the farm of the winner. It was pointed out that tho association, was not giving a prize as understood by the waler-divincr, and (he offer was therefore declined with thanks. The death of Mr. A. Elliott, of Ilnwcra, took place on Friday Jtigrht after a long illness. He leaves a daughter and two sons. Mr. Elliott, sou., was a son a former proprietor of -The Nelson "Examiner," and was lately engaged in a legal office in Wellington.
