» AND COMMITS SUICIDE. By TBlesrranh—Press Association—OoDyrtetil London, January 12. Thomas Stephens, a barrister, aged 78, and a one-time candidate for Parliament fori the Plymouth seat, was to-day charged with libelling his son. When called to surrender to his bail at the Old Bailey ho did not respond. He was called again without result, and then a messenger hurried into Court and stated that Stephens had fatally cut his throat.
