Republicans at Outairo destroyed a much-revered imago of "Our Lady of Lourdes." From the neighbouring village of Assentis two thousand Catholics marched on Ontairo. There was a fieroo fight, during which five persons were killed and forty seriously wounded. Cavalry and infantry re-established order.
