1 SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Prosent indications - arc for freshening northerly and easterly winds, with a falling barometer generally. A small area of low pressuro is likely to pass over the country to-morrow, bringing farther changeable weather for a short time with misty rain in parts, the winds changing to the south again alter about 24 hours and the barometer rising. Baromctric pressure has decreased slightly and northerly and easterly breezes have prevailed in the south and variable in the North Inland, but moderate to strong south-easterly winds • blew in the latter island last night. Changeable weather has but conditions have been unsettled, with rain at times, on the West Coast of tho South Island. B. V. PEMBERTON. Meteorological Office, Wellington, January 12, 1912.
