■POSITION ON BANKS PENINSULA. . According to latest southern advices it is expected that hardly any reaping of cocksfoot will bo doue on-Banks Peninsula before the middle of tho mouth, and this allowing for a spell of tine weather. Peninsula, it is said, complaints are made of the strong growth of tares, which pull dawn tho crop and rendvr cutting very difficult. Owing to heavy rains coming just when many craps wore in flower, it ;i« frared Hint the seed will be light. As a. set-off, the greater ptrowth of tho straw this season .should make a cleaner sample, being well above any goose-grass.
