Tho troops at Hi have burned the Tartar General's Yamen. Many Mnnchus at Kuldja have been killed. The republicans arc destroying the Pukau Railway, a hundred miles from the southern end. Advices from Shanghai state thut tho revolutionary authorities at Nanking havo ordered thoir forces toward Peking, Ten warships in tie Yangtso and ten Shanghai steamers have been chartered to carry a portion of the troops northward by sea before tho northern Tivers become frozen. An advance by land is likewise probable. RUSSIA'S. DEMANDS AND CHINA'S FEARS. (Eec. January 10, midnight.) Peking, January 10. Russia demands an immediate reply to her Mongolian Note. China fears to acquiesce lest Britain, should insist on similar conditions as regards Tibet.
