MOERAKI ARRIVES AT NOON. Wireless messages received from the Mocraki-inward bound from Sydney to Wellington-last ovening, stated that it was expected that tho vessel would make port at noon * to-day. . On arrival, the Moeraki will berth at the Queen's Wharf No. 1 north. ■ .
It was originally intended that tho vessel would go through u> Lyttelton on the day of her arrival, and tranship her southern, Hobart, and Melbourne cargo to tho Warrimoo there. These arrangements have now been nltensd, and the Moeraki remains at Wellington, returning to Sydney direct on Friday. The Warrimoo arrives from Melbourno and southern ports on Friday, and returne on the same day. RUAPEHU DUE AT 7 VM. An ethergram rc-cived from tho New Zealand Shipping Company's R.M.S. Ruapehu stated that the linsr was expected to reach Wellington from London at 7 p.m. to-day'. The Ruapehu berths at the Queen's Wharf No. 1 south. lONIC LEAVES HOME. Cable advice received by the local agents for tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company states that R.M.S. lonic loft Plymouth for Wellington, via way norts, on Saturday, January 6. The louic is due at Wellington on February 20. 1 RUAHINE FOR HOME. Noon to-morrow is tho time appointed for the New Zealand Shipping Company's R.M.S.' Rnahine to take her departure from Wellington for London, via way ports. Passengers arc rerruestcd to embark prior to that hour, and all baggage must be alongside tho' steamer by 10 a.m. on sailing day. PAPAROA FOR LONDON. Due at Wellington from Lyttelton tomorrow the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Paparoa continues loading at this port. At noon on Saturday the Paparoa leaves Wellington for Tokomaru Bay and London. BAROONA TO WORK ISLANDS. It is understood (says the "Now Zealand Hnrald") that tho Eteamer Baroona, owned by the Koipara Steamship Company. Ltd., and at present trading in northern waters, is under offer for sale to an Auckland syndicate. Captain W. Ross, owner of tho well-known schooner Ysabel, is at present negotiating for tho purchase of ths Baroona, nnd it is understood that she will bo employed in the carriage of passengers, mails, and cargo in the Tongan Groun. The Baroona is a wooden steamer of 136 cross tons, and was built at Newcastle in 1904. Her Vineth is 107 ft., breadth 21ft. oin., and depth 7ft. 9in. She will probably come to Auckland for overhaul before proceeding to the Islands. SOMERSET'S OFFICERS. Yesterday morning the F.-11.-S. stcamor Somerset berthed at the King's Wharf.
