A GREAT STRUGGLE. VICTORIAN .TEAM WINS. Si Telesraph—Tress Association—CsorrleM Sydney, January 8. The Gascoync-Lloyd team retired from tile six days'' cycling race after covering 1738 miles. They arc suffering from ptomaine poisoning through eating tysters. The latest record of the seven leading teams is 1785 miles. Three others are a mile behind. The weather is fine. (Rec. During the concluding hours many brilliant spurts were made by the back men to make up lost ground, and the leaders to gain an advantage, but there was littlo alteration in the positions.
Entering the last lap Lawson and Mitten (America), and Goulett and lfenir (Victoria) were close together in the leading position, Grenda (Tasmania), and Walker (Victoria), and itt'Namara (Dubbo), and Corry (Bnthtirst) following. After a great struggle Goulett ami Hehir passed Lawson aiiil Mitten, and finishing fast won by a fcoiipic of lengths.
