Eleven members of tlia Pongaroa, De« fence Riflo Club met at the local rangefor a competition for a "leg. in", for the club cup and Rifleman Boardman's trophy. Tho weather conditions' were very, unfavourable, so that under tho .circumstances tho, scores : wero'. on tho whole good. The tie' for. first placo between. Riflemen Wright and Davies was shot;ofE and won by Rifleman Duvies, who thus secured a.."leg; in'' for tile, cup and, trophy. The following are. the scores:—- '>
