Burglars stole =£800 and valuable securities from a house in the suburbs of Paris. They murdered Iho owner, aged hinety-one, and a female servant. A grand-daughtor discovered a couple aged eighty-two and seventy-eight murdered in their beds. Burglars had stolen .£56, the proceeds of a sale of land. A miser, aged eighty-two, murdered his daughter and then attempted suicido. to avoid payment of an indemnity aftor being charged with arson.
A wife, husband, and son who had failed in a haberdashery business committed suicide at Calais.
