Since 1906 the leased areas increased from 2089 acres to 361,000 acres. ■ Though during the past two or three years there has been a large 'falling off in tho quantity of land leased and several large leases have been forfeited, the agricultural improvements are steadily progressing. The gold output was 18,179 ounces, which is an increase on leeent years. Mining generally is improving. ■
