EMIGRATION FRAUDS.
AN AGENT AREESTED. Bj TeleErapli—Press Association—CoDyTtehl London, December 28. G. H. Br'own, on emigration agent, has been arrested at Nelson, in Lancashire, for obtaining money under falso pretences in connection with forged testimonials to a farm labourer emigrating to West Australia. Tho Agents-General are co-operating in the prosecution. London, December 28. Tho "Pall Mall Gazette" interviewed a high Canadian authority, who stated that unscrupulous agents had enormously increased, and that a series of prosecutions are probable.
