Br'own, on emigration agent, has been arrested at Nelson, in Lancashire, for obtaining money under falso pretences in connection with forged testimonials to a farm labourer emigrating to West Australia. Tho Agents-General are co-operating in the prosecution. London, December 28. Tho "Pall Mall Gazette" interviewed a high Canadian authority, who stated that unscrupulous agents had enormously increased, and that a series of prosecutions are probable.
